Cytokine release in PBMC culture supernatants (as % of the response at , average plus SD). Isolated PBMCs of 2 donors were stimulated for 24 hours with 2 ng/mL LPS directly after isolation or after aging up to 6 hours in RPMI + 10% FBS. The -axis indicates the sample age (time span between PBMC isolation and start incubation). Cells were stored at room temperature. For IFNγ, most samples remained below LLOQ.
