Strength Training Session Induces Important Changes on Physiological, Immunological, and Inflammatory Biomarkers
The strength training exercise protocol alters the number of subpopulation in the white blood cells (leukocytes). The red lines mean the reference value. The single session of exercise was able to elevate the number of white blood cells immediately and 2 hours in UTG and TG (Figure 2(a)). The number of neutrophils was elevated differently in both groups (Figure 2(b)). The number of lymphocytes increased immediately after in both groups and then reduced at 2 h (Figure 2(c)). The monocyte number increased in both groups (Figure 2(d)). Data are presented in least squares means and standard error, with the level of significance adopted at . Difference between time points and difference between groups.
