miR-98 Modulates Cytokine Production from Human PBMCs in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus by Targeting IL-6 mRNA

<div>miR-98 can upregulate STAT3 levels in the presence of IL-6. HEK293T cells were transfected with pRL-TK, pGL3-STAT3, miR-98 mimics/inhibitor, and/or IL-6 overexpression vector; the activity of STAT3 was analyzed by luciferase reporter assay (a, b); the protein expression of STAT3 and phosphorylated STAT3 was detected by Western blotting (c).
