Immunological Aspects of Human Reproduction

Fertility rates are falling in many countries. Recent advances in biology and medicine have clearly shown that disturbed communication between immune system and reproductive organs can be a cause for number of cases of human infertility. Taken this into account, we invite investigators to contribute original research articles that will stimulate to understand the immunology underlying normal and pathological conditions in human reproduction, the development of strategies to diagnose and treat infertility in females as well as among males. Particularly encouraged is the submission of papers with a translational connection to immunology of human reproduction from basic science to clinical applications of immunological discoveries from diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment purposes. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Immunology of contraception and embryo development
  • Immunological predictors in human gametogenesis
  • Immunology of oocyte development
  • Immunology of female reproductive duct
  • Autoimmune mechanisms and diseases in female infertility
  • Immunological aspects of successful pregnancy
  • Recurrent pregnancy loss due to immunological mechanisms
  • Immunological aspects of endometriosis
  • Immunological aspects of male infertility
  • Immunological aspects of in vitro fertilization
  • Novel immunodiagnostic techniques for infertility diagnosis
  • miRNA in immunology of human reproduction
