PPARγ Networks in Cell Signaling: Update and Impact of Cyclic Phosphatidic Acid

Regulation of PPARγ activity by cPA. cPA is generated intracellularly in a stimulus-coupled manner by the PLD2 enzyme. cPA stabilize interactions with corepressor, such as SMRT, that act to repress gene transcription. This endogenous cPA regulates PPARγ function required for vascular wall pathologies, colorectal cancer cell growth, and metabolic diseases.
