Images taken with a backscattered electron detector, 10 kV accelerator voltage, pressure of 90 Pa, and magnification 4000x; the calcium phosphate ceramic appears (due to Ca’s higher atomic number) brighter than the antibiotics, which consist mainly of hydrocarbons. All images were taken from the breach area.
