Supplementary Material

The Supplementary Material is the TGA curve of ZnO:C and SnO2:C. From the TGA curve, we can observed the reaction starting temperature of carbothermal process of CVD made zinc oxide nanostructure. As in Figure Sl shows that when the heating temperature was observed to rise to 200°C,the percentage by weight of carbon and zinc oxide powder decrease slightly from 100% to 99.8% which may be due to the trace reaction of carbon and zinc oxide powders. When the temperature rises to 850°C that has decreased from 99.8% to 98.8% indicating that the carbon and zinc oxide powder really started to react, which are consistent with our observing in the experiment. When the growth temperature is blow 850°C, the nanostructure is difficult to grow maunsell and can only small growing point.
