Concentration-gradient dependent ionic current rectification of hour-glass shaped alumina nanochannel in an asymmetric acid-base solution of pH_L 5.2 and pH_R 10.0. 𝐼-𝑉 curves measured in KCl electrolyte with or without a different concentration gradient. The experimental configurations are (a) 𝐶_L=0.1 mM and 𝐶_R varied from 0.1 to 100 mM.
