Effect of BisBAL nanoparticles on erythrocytes morphology. A monolayer of erythrocytes was obtained from a blood sample in 100 μL of minimum essential medium. 50, 100, 500, and 1000 μM of BisBAL NPs were added to cell culture, incubated for 1 hour at 37°C with 5% of CO₂ and their influence on erythrocyte culture was observed by optic microscopy using an inverter microscope (Motic, Hong Kong). The presence of cytopathic effect was identified by amorphous shape and light refractive cells. The bar indicates a size of 50 μm.
