Optical Properties of Nanostructured Materials

Call for Papers

The optical prosperities of the materials have raised extensive concerns in recent decades and are with increasing technical value for several applications like data storage, panel display, integrated circuit, gas detection, biosensing, clean energy, and so on. However, for the practical performance of the materials in applications, there is, yet, large space for further improvements. In recent years, introducing the nanostructures into the materials is found to be a powerful route to enhance their optical performance. A demonstration, that the light can be generated, transported, modulated, and stored by applying new nanostructured materials and used to environment monitor or pollutant degradation and so on, is of great importance in both scientific research and practical applications. It is therefore urgent and significant to have a special issue on new advances and to review recent progresses on the optical properties of the nanostructured materials as well as their applications in devices.
