Genistein downregulates CXCR4 surface expression and intracellular CXCL12 expression. Downregulation of CXCR4 protein expression in MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, and BG-1 cells at concentrations of genistein ranging from 0–100  M for a 24-hour period (a)–(c). Downregulation of intracellular CXCL12 protein expression in (a) MCF-7 and (c) BG-1 cells at 30–100  M genistein. Fluorescence distribution plots depict one representative experiment. Isotype controls are represented by filled histograms. Mean fluorescence intensities (MFI) and their corresponding standard deviations are derived from three independent experiments.
