TJ-41 Induces Apoptosis and Potentiates the Apoptotic Effects of 5-FU in Breast Cancer Cell Lines

Effect of TJ-41 on the release of cytochrome c from mitochondria. After treatment cytosolic extracts of BrCa cell lines were prepared as described in the Materials and Methods. Twenty-five micrograms of cytosolic protein were resolved on 12% SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and transferred to PVDF membrane. Membrane was blocked with 5% nonfat dry milk in TBS, followed by incubation with 1 g/mL primary monoclonal anticytochrome c antibody in TBS containing 5% nonfat milk overnight at C. The proteins were visualized using analyzed by western blotting using anticytochrome c antibody.
