Correlations of waist circumference and BMI in US Caucasian and Asian Indian men. The corresponding value for women of NHANES III was 0.85, in comparison to 0.31 for CURES women. The across the other two NHANES III race/ethnic groups for men and women ranged from 0.81 to 0.88.
