Effects of Lutein and Zeaxanthin on LPS-Induced Secretion of IL-8 by Uveal Melanocytes and Relevant Signal Pathways

LPS stimulates secretion of IL-8 by uveal melanocytes. Cells were plated into 24-well plates and treated with LPS at different levels. IL-8 protein levels in the conditioned medium were determined by ELISA kit and expressed as percentage of the controls. LPS significantly increased the secretion of IL-8 dose-dependently ().
