TUNEL staining was used to evaluate hypoxia-induced cell death. Cells were exposed to 100 ng/mL apelin for 12 h and then exposed to hypoxia for 12 h. Apoptotic nuclei were visualized by TdT-mediated dUTP nick end-labeling (TUNEL). Scale bar = 200 µm.
