Computational Simulation of Scleral Buckling Surgery for Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment: On the Effect of the Band Size on the Myopization

Increment of myopia () in diopters (D) induced by the scleral buckling surgery in the numerical model. Nine cases are considered. IOP is the intraocular pressure, BW is the width of the band implanted, is the axial length before the simulation of the surgery, is the axial length after the simulation, and AL is the increment of axial length. The mean value of AL and for each of the three bandwidths is also shown.
