Microarray validation with real-time PCR. The most significantly altered genes in the microarray analysis as well as genes of interest were validated using quantitative real-time PCR. Results are presented as box-plots, showing groups’ medians as well as the 25th and the 75th percentile. β-actin was used as housekeeping gene, and all values are quotas between the gene of interest and β-actin. Kruskal-Wallis with post hoc Dunn was used to determine statistical significance. , , The order is as follows: (a) inhibin α, (b) transforming growth factor β, (c) Tat-interacting protein (30 kD), and (d) haptoglobin.
