Fetal arterial oxygen content (mmol O2/L blood) in two sheep models of human IUGR. The uteroplacental embolisation model of IUGR in the sheep fetus results in periods of fluctuating hypoxemia over the 20-day experimental period starting at 110 days of gestation (a).
