Pyrazinamidase test. A brownish pink color indicates formation of pyrazinic acid and is a positive pyrazinamidase reaction. Y. enterocolitica serotype O:5/biotype 1A (a) is positive and Y. enterocolitica serotype O:3/biotype 3 variant VPā (b) and Y. pseudotuberculosis serotype 4b (c) are negative reaction.
