A Molecularly Imprinted Electrochemical Gas Sensor to Sense Butylated Hydroxytoluene in Air

The mechanism of the sensor is depicted. Among different molecules in the environment, only the template molecule can be absorbed in the molecular imprinting polymer (MIP) layer. When the template molecule is trapped in the MIP layer, an extra electron is transferred to the graphene layer, which will cause resistance change.
