Overview of the proposed power-efficient architecture. The Delay-and-Sum beamforming is composed of several memories to properly delay the input signal. Our implementation groups the memories associated to each subarray to disable those memories linked to deactivated microphones. The beamformed input signal is converted to audio in the cascade of filters. The DoA is finally obtained based on SRP obtained per orientation.
