Resonant Sensors

Call for Papers

Resonance transduction is a widely exploited phenomenon for a variety of applications, not least in the development of sensors. Resulting devices are capable of sensing a wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum, from low frequencies to terahertz, by employing technologies that range from quartz crystal microbalances to microwave resonators and from microelectromechanical systems to fiber Bragg gratings.

We now invite researchers worldwide to report their latest results and the most recent advances in the field of resonant sensors, including their theory, design, and fabrication; their implementation and measurement; and their application to new problems across all scientific disciplines. Both original research and focused review articles are welcomed.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Theory, principles, and modeling of resonant sensors
  • Resonant sensor design, fabrication, and packaging.
  • Characterization and measurement methodologies for resonant sensors
  • New resonant sensor principles and technologies
  • Transduction and sampling systems for resonant sensors
  • Resonant sensor-based systems
  • Signal processing techniques for resonant sensors
  • Applications of resonant sensors in remote sensing, environmental and structural monitoring, security and military applications, metrology and space, VBLI networks, food and medicine, the aerospace and automotive industries, and so forth
