Complex Molecular Systems
Description
Nowadays, the advances in bioscience and material science bring many complex molecular systems to spectroscopists. In these complex molecular systems, mixture composed of different molecules, complex molecule with multiple functional groups, or molecule/functional group in diverse state may coexist. The previous complexities pose a great challenge to spectroscopists in retrieving important structural information from the spectra of complex molecular systems. Due to the efforts of spectroscopists, however, significant progresses in the methodology of spectroscopy have been achieved. The progresses bring about remarkable enhancement on the understanding of complex molecular systems.
We particularly take an interest in manuscripts that report the development of new spectral techniques and its application on complex molecular systems. The special issue will become an international forum for researchers to summarize the most recent developments and new ideas in this field with a special emphasis given to the technical and results obtained within the last five years. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Review on the development of new spectral techniques for analysis of complex molecular system
- Two-dimensional spectroscopy on complex molecular systems
- Surface enhanced Raman/fluorescence spectroscopy on complex molecular systems
- Applications of spectral techniques in pharmaceuticals and herbal medicines
- Applications of spectral techniques in biomedical diagnosis
- Applications of spectral techniques in polymeric and composite materials
- Applications of spectral techniques in the studies of intermolecular interactions among different molecular species
- Hyphenate techniques
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jspec/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/spectroscopy/cms/ according to the following timetable:
