Role for PKC 𝛿 in Fenretinide-Mediated Apoptosis in Lymphoid Leukemia Cells

Fenretinide promotes apoptosis in leukemia cell lines. Apoptosis of human leukemia derived REH, MOLT4, RS4;11 and CCRF-CEM cells treated with vehicle (0.1% DMSO) or fenretinide (4-HPR at 1 $\mu$M, 5 $\mu$M or 10 $\mu$M dose) for 24 hours was examined using FACSCAN analysis of Annexin V stained cells. Error bars represent the mean $\pm$ S.D. from three separate experiments. Statistically significant differences from cell viability in untreated cells (standard t-test; $P<.05$) are marked by “*”.
