Effect of Ang II transfection by proteojuice on intracellular Ang II levels. (a) Human mesangial cells transfected with Ang II (NG + t-Ang II) showed a dose-dependent increase in intracellular Ang II levels with a 5-fold increase at 10−6 M Ang II concentration. NG represents cells incubated with 10 mM glucose alone. (b) In separate experiments, transfection of cells with 10−6 M Ang II raised intracellular Ang II levels in a time-dependent fashion showing a 9-fold increase after 120 min of incubation.
