Role of Jak2 in intracellular Ang II-induced activation of Stat3 in human mesangial cells. (b) Densitometry analysis of Western blots revealed a significant increase in Jak2 and Stat3 protein expression in mesangial cells incubated with 1 μM exogenous Ang II (NG + ex-Ang II) for 24 h. In contrast, transfection of cells with Ang II (NG + t-Ang II) for 24 h increased Stat3 protein expression without any effect on Jak2.
