Specific Conditions for Resveratrol Neuroprotection against Ethanol-Induced Toxicity

Influence of a 1 h pretreatment with various concentrations of trans-resveratrol on the level of DNA damage observed in astrocytes exposed to a 3-day treatment with 20 mM ethanol, followed or not by a 1 h or 3 h recovery period in fresh culture medium. DNA damage was evaluated using the comet assay and is expressed as percentage of DNA in the tail. The figure shows the mean results of three independent experiments.
