Modulation of the T3 action on synaptosomal Na+-K+-ATPase activity by sodium orthovanadate. A higher dose of T3 (10 nM) was chosen from the T3 dose-response curve considering its greater inhibitory action on the Na+-K+-ATPase activity and to observe the effect of graded doses (1 nM–2 mM) of sodium orthovanadate on this T3-induced inhibition. The data are represented as mean ± SEM of four separate experiments, taking six animals in each group. The vertical bars denote SEM. Open circles indicate mean values for a set of control incubations without T3. Filled triangles indicate the results of a set of incubations with 10 nM T3.
