Modulation of the T₃ action on synaptosomal Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase activity by sodium orthovanadate. A higher dose of T₃ (10 nM) was chosen from the T₃ dose-response curve considering its greater inhibitory action on the Na⁺-K⁺-ATPase activity and to observe the effect of graded doses (1 nM–2 mM) of sodium orthovanadate on this T₃-induced inhibition. The data are represented as mean ± SEM of four separate experiments, taking six animals in each group. The vertical bars denote SEM. Open circles indicate mean values for a set of control incubations without T₃. Filled triangles indicate the results of a set of incubations with 10 nM T₃.
