Hoechst 33342 staining of untreated control cells (a) versus 0.1 mmol/L (b) and 1 mmol/L (c) VPA treated 8305C cells. After exposure to VPA for 96 h, fresh dilution of the Hoechst 33342 stock solution was added with the final concentration of 1 μg/mL, incubated at 37°C for 15 minutes, protected from light. The stained cells were examined by IX70 fluorescence microscope using blue filter (excitation, 350 nm; emission, 450 nm) and photographed (magnification 40x).
