Detection of <i>Mycobacterium bovis</i> in Organs of Slaughtered Cattle by DNA-Based Polymerase Chain Reaction and Ziehl-Neelsen Techniques in Bauchi State, Nigeria

<div>A 2-panel agarose gel electrophoresis of PCR amplification of<i> oxy</i>R<i> gene</i> specific for<i> M. bovis</i>. Lane M 1.3 kb molecular weight markers (100 bp DNA ladder, Bioneer labs, USA); lanes 1 and 2 are positive controls (BCG Pasteur strain and BCG vaccine), lane 10 is negative control (nuclease free water), and lanes 3, 5, 6, 8, 17, and 18 are positive samples diagnostic for<i> M. bovis </i>(285 bp).</div>
