In Vitro Evaluation of Oxoplatin: An Oral Platinum(IV) Anticancer Agent

Comparison of cell cycle perturbations observed in COLO 205 colon cancer cells induced by the various platinum compounds tested here. Cells were grown in (a) medium alone, (b) medium containing 65  M cisplatin, (c) 120  M oxoplatin, and (d) 120  M oxoplatin following treatment with 0.1 M HCl, respectively, under tissue culture conditions for four days, and subsequently stained with propidium iodide (PI). The concentrations of the platinum compounds used had resulted in comparable cytotoxicity in preceding proliferation tests.
