The horizontal axis in the figure represents different numbers of ANK repeats while the vertical axis represents the frequency of the proteins corresponding to different number of repeats. A large percentage (41%) of the PpANKs have 3 repeats within their sequence, as seen in the graph. (d) The consensus sequence of the P. patens ankyrin repeat motif.
