Inhibition of Angiogenic Factor Production from Murine Mast Cells by an Antiallergic Agent (Epinastine Hydrochloride) In Vitro

Suppressive activity of epinastine hydrochrolide (EP) on mRNA expression for angiogenic factors in mast cells in IgE-mediated mechanism. Murine peritoneal mast cells (  cells/mL) sensitized with IgE specific for ovalbumin (OVA) were stimulated with 10 ng/mL OVA for 4 hours. mRNA expression for angiogenic factors was examined by real-time RT-PCR. The data are expressed as the mean ± SE of triplicate cultures. KC: keratinocyte-derived chemokine (a); TNF: TNF-α (b); VEGF: vascular endothelial growth factor (c); * versus control (EP at 0 ng/mL).
