TNF-α concentration as determined by ELISA in C. trachomatis infected culture supernatant was significantly increased at early time points (6, 12, and 18 hpi) and late time points (72 and 96 hpi), whereas there was decrease at midtime points (24, 30 and 48 hpi) in comparison to mock infected.
