TNFα increases SHP-1 activity and protein expression. (a) TNFα (5 ng/mL) treatment of endothelial cells increased SHP-1 activity already within minutes of stimulation as assessed by pNPP-dephosphorylation assay in PAEC (). (b) This could also be observed in HUVEC after TNFα stimulation (5 ng/mL, 4 h) as detected by phosphorylation of SHP-1 at Y564.
