High Intestinal and Systemic Levels of Interleukin-23/T-Helper 17 Pathway in Chinese Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease
The mRNA expression of IL-23/Th17 pathway related genes in IBD patients. (a) and (b) The levels of IL-12p40 and TL1A mRNA expression were higher in UC patients than healthy controls (). (c) and (d) There was a highly significant increase in the expression of JAK2 and IL-23R in patients with UC and CD as compared to healthy controls (, for both comparisons), but no significant difference was observed between UC and CD patients. The level of mRNA expression was normalized to that of β-actin mRNA expression. Horizontal lines represent median values for each group and NS indicate no significance.
