Analysis of the ROS production in neutrophils by calculation of the area under the curve. The extracellular ROS formation of neutrophils incubated with 2 mM ascorbic acid decreases as measured by the lucigenin amplified chemiluminescence assay. Neutrophils were coincubated with or without ascorbic acid for 30 min at 37°C and the ROS release was induced by PMA. The area under the curve (AUC) of the time kinetics (1 h) of superoxide () release of each curve (a) was calculated and represented as bar graph.
