Paeonol (Pae) dose-dependently attenuates the induction of IL-8 by cigarette smoke extract (CSE) in human bronchial epithelial cells. (a) Cells were exposed to 0–3% CSE for 24 hours. (b) Cells were incubated with medium alone (control) or 3% CSE for indicated times. (c) Cells were incubated with medium alone or 3% CSE for 24 hours with pretreatment with various concentrations (0–0.4 mM) of Pae.
