Ionotropic TRPV1 channel and ASICs mainly mediate severe acidic pH-induced cough, pain, and bronchoconstriction through sensory neurons, while OGR1-family GPCRs sense mild alkaline and mild acidic pH and exert a wide range of cellular actions in many types of structural and inflammatory cells.</table>
