IL-6 Compared to Young Mice

IL-6 protein production in splenocytes and their subpopulations from young and aged mice ( 2~4). Whole splenocytes (a), spleen-derived F4/80+ cells (b), CD11b+/CD11c− cells (c), and CD11c+ cells (d) from young and aged mice were cultured with 0, 1, and 10 μg/mL LPS for 24 hours. Supernatants were collected from the cell culture and IL-6 was measured by ELISA. The results are expressed as mean ± SD. The data are the representative of two similar experiments. *P < 0.05.
