Biomarker Analysis Revealed Distinct Profiles of Innate and Adaptive Immunity in Infants with Ocular Lesions of Congenital Toxoplasmosis

Figure 5

Biomarker networks of innate and adaptive immunity in the peripheral blood of infants with congenital toxoplasmosis categorized as no retinochoroidal lesions (NRL), active retinochoroidal lesions (ARL), active/cicatricial retinochoroidal lesions (ACRL), and cicatricial retinochoroidal lesions (CRL) compared to noninfected controls (NI). Networks were assembled to assess the association between leukocyte subpopulations, including monocytes, NK- and NKT-cells, T-cells (total, CD4+, and CD8+), and B-cells. Significant correlations at are highlighted by connecting edges to underscore negative, moderate, and strong indexes.
