TRPA1 is important for the induction of IL-8 by CSE in HBECs. (a) Cells were incubated with medium alone or exposed to 3% CSE for 24 hours and pretreated with 3–9 μM HC-030031 (HC, a TRPA1 antagonist) or its vehicle DMSO. (b) Cells were incubated with or without two concentrations (25 and 50 nM) of TRPA1 siRNA (siTRPA1) for 24 hours prior to the measurement of TRPA1 expression.
