Allicin Alleviates Inflammation of Trinitrobenzenesulfonic Acid-Induced Rats and Suppresses P38 and JNK Pathways in Caco-2 Cells

Figure 6

NF-κB p65 was increased in IL-1β-induced Caco-2 cells (a and b): IL-1β induced the expression of NF-κB p65 in nucleus of Caco-2 cells at 12 and 24 h. versus 1 ng/mL IL-1β group. Allicin influenced inflammation caused by IL-1β in Caco-2 cells (c and d): 25 ng/mL allicin decreased the expression of NF-κB p65 in nucleus of IL-1β-induced Caco-2 cells at 12 and 24 h. 1 ng/mL IL-1β group versus 1 ng/mL IL-1β  + 25 μg/mL allicin group. # 1 ng/mL 1 ng/mL IL-1β  + 10 μg/mL allicin group versus 1 ng/mL IL-1β  + 25 μg/mL allicin group. Data were presented as mean ± SD and repeated 3 times.
