Survival curves of mice with septic peritonitis induced by E. coli. ICR mice were infected intraperitoneally with E. coli at different doses for inducing septic peritonitis. Saline-injected mice were as controls. The survival of the mice was counted. Compared to control mice; compared to mice infected with 0.4 × 10⁸ CFUs of E. coli; compared to mice infected with 1.6 × 10⁸ CFUs of E. coli.
