Regulatory T Cell Induced by Poria cocos Bark Exert Therapeutic Effects in Murine Models of Atopic Dermatitis and Food Allergy

Figure 8

PCB extract induced the generation of inducible T regulatory cells via the aryl hydrocarbon receptor. (a) CD4+CD62L+ naïve T cell from splenocytes and mLN cells from BALB/c mice were stimulated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies in the presence of 10 μg/mL PCB and the AhR antagonist resveratrol (12.5, 25, and 50 μM) for 72 h. Foxp3+CD4+ T cell populations were then quantified using flow cytometry. (b) The plots show the mean population of Foxp3+CD4+ T cells from three independent experiments. Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation (SD) of triplicate determinations and were analyzed using one-way repeated measures of ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s post hoc test. and versus control.
