THSG attenuated the mRNA expression of proinflammatory cytokines and mediators in the gingival tissues of rats. Rat gingival tissues were collected from the first molars of mandible and homogenized. Their RNAs were extracted and reverse transcripted to cDNA. QPCR was performed to examine the mRNA expression of TNF-α (a), IL-1β (b), iNOS (c), COX-2 (d), and SirT1 (e).
