IL-8 production by RPE cells stimulated with PAR2 agonist. IL-8 production was examined after cells were stimulated with a PAR2 agonist peptide (SLIGKV), a decoy PAR2 agonist peptide (reverse peptide, LSIGKV), or trypsin. RPE cells were incubated in each medium for 24 h. Both the PAR2 agonist and trypsin enhanced IL-8 production in a concentration-dependent manner, but the decoy PAR2 agonist did not.
