Tomatidine Attenuates Airway Hyperresponsiveness and Inflammation by Suppressing Th2 Cytokines in a Mouse Model of Asthma

Tomatidine suppressed cytokine and chemokine levels in BEAS-2B cells. BEAS-2B cells treated with the indicated concentrations of tomatidine (Tom) for 1 h were cultured with 20 ng/ml TNF-α and 5 ng/ml IL-4 for 24 h. The supernatant was collected and the levels of IL-6, IL-8, ICAM-1, and CCL11 were measured by ELISA. All data are presented as means ± SEM. , compared to the OVA control group.
