Inhibitory effects of hBD3 on TNF-α-induced ROS formation in HUVECs. HUVECs were incubated with TNF-α (40 ng/mL) and hBD3 (15 μg/mL) for 2 h. Intracellular ROS accumulation was determined by observation under a fluorescence microscope (a) or fluorescence measurement with a microplate reader (b) after incubation with the ROS detector DCFH-DA for 30 min (original magnification: 400x).
