Neutrophils Release Metalloproteinases during Adhesion in the Presence of Insulin, but Cathepsin G in the Presence of Glucagon

<div>SDS-PAGE separation of proteins secreted by neutrophils upon adhesion to fibronectin in the presence of hormones. Human neutrophils were attached to fibronectin-coated substrata for 20 min in the presence of 0.1 <i>μ</i>M E2 (a), 0.1 <i>μ</i>M insulin (b), or 0.1 <i>μ</i>M glucagon (c). Samples of extracellular medium were collected, and proteins were extracted and subjected to 15% SDS-PAGE. Pictures represent typical protein profiles observed in the three independent experiments for each hormone.</div>
